Former President John Dramani Mahama has celerated Ghana’s esteemed National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu on his glorious 105 birthday.
The Ghanaian Islamic cleric was born on 23 April 1919.
In a short message to the Chief Imam as he marks a remarkable milestone today, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stated that the leadership and guidance of the National Chief Imam have been a source of strength and inspiration to everyone.
He said Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to peace and unity have profoundly impacted our society.
“On this special day, I join the entire nation in celebrating your 105th birthday. Your leadership and guidance have been a source of strength and inspiration for all of us. Your wisdom, compassion, and unwavering commitment to peace and unity have profoundly impacted our society.” Mr. Mahama wrote on his Facebook.
According to the former president, the Chief Imam’s respect for all faiths will continue to be a guiding light for the nation.
“Your message of tolerance, understanding, and respect for all faiths will continue to be a guiding light for our nation.” He added.
Social media users have also praised the National Chief Imam for his respect for all faiths.
Some say Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu is the only Muslim who doesn’t differentiate between religions.
“I don’t know why but I like this man, he respects himself and he is honest and he welcomes everyone to his home. Happy birthday daddy longer life. The only Muslim person who doesn’t differentiate between religions.” He wrote.
