The Member of Parliament for Techiman South and Minister designate for Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has urged Christians not to celebrate the Easter festivities for celebration’s sake.
He emphasized the importance of living a righteous life in the sight of God as the true essence and purpose of the Easter season, calling for reflection, repentance, and renewal of faith among believers.
Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, said this during the climax of this year’s Easter Convention by the Church of Pentecost at the Techiman Methodist School park at the Techiman South Municipality of the Bono East region.
Hon. Martin, while addressing the congregation underscored the significance of spiritual growth, moral integrity, and ethical conduct in honoring the sacrifice, teachings, and values of Jesus Christ as a model for humility, compassion, and service to others.
“By the grace of God, the convention has become very successful, it’s not easy to get this crowd during a Easter convention and this shows that the Church has really done well in organizing this program.”
“The death and resurrection of Christ is the foundation of Christianity, as believers, we should not celebrate Easter because it’s an annual event but we should pounder on the torment that Jesus went through before and during his death. He said
Hon. Martin continued, ” We must live an enumerate the life Of Christ as Christians, we should win souls for the Kingdom of God through our lifestyle.”
