Ghanaian broadcaster, Blakk Rasta, has questioned the founder of ‘The New Africa Foundation’, Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar or Freedom Jacob Caesar’s capability to save Ghana as he claimed.

According to him, even Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah who spearheaded the Gold Coast’s independence movement and its transformation into modern-day Ghana did not say he is the saviour of Ghana, how much more someone whose background and achievements are not known.

“I was very disappointed when Cheddar said he is the saviour of Ghana….arrogant. You are the saviour of Ghana? wow, Nkrumah never even said that. You are the saviour, who are you? Who are you? Somebody went to Accra Academy and all of the sudden went to some school in England came back and said he studied business and who, he says he has so much money and he is the saviour.” Blakk Rasta fumed on 3FM mid-morning show.

“That is frightening, isn’t it? That is frightening. Apart from saying he is the saviour, he is running for a political office. I will be scared as a man. Who is this guy? Does he really have what he claims he has? What are the sources of his so-called wealth? does he even have it at all. Because we have seen people in Ghana who claimed they were rich and I was close to a lot of them and it came out that it was only a shadow of the wealth” He added.

Speaking at a press conference after the government of Ghana cancelled the much-awaited public lecture rally dubbed ‘The Convention 2024’ in the 11th-hour which brought influential African thought leaders like Professor PLO Lumumba, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao from Zimbabwe and Peter Obi in Ghana, Nana Kwame Bediako revealed that he is “the man behind the mask”.

He revealed that the main idea for the “The New Africa Foundation” is to ensure that Ghana and Africa be counted among developed countries and continents in the world through its natural resources.

“I am nothing to be scared of. I came to you as your salvation. I don’t invest in myself alone. I am investing in you, We need to educate. We need to uplift our children. We need to voice out to them. You are about to find out about this man in the mask because I never spoke a word, you were looking for me. I didn’t tell you whether I am into politics, whether I am an evangelist, whether I am a conventionist or a revolutionist. After this day, you will have to wait for me to share my policies and my visions with you.” Cheddar claimed

“And if I’m the reason why the country or the government is not happy about these great voices coming to educate not only Ghana, but also Africa, then I take this moment to sacrifice myself, to unveil myself, because I have much respect for these great leaders beside me. I would have taken my own time to tell you that I am. But for this very moment, I am sacrificing myself to let you know that I’m that man.” he added.

But Blakk Rasta said Ghanaians have suffered a lot from these tricks by the political parties in Ghana.

The media personality believes that Cheddar tricks his ‘fake Pan-African liberation agenda’ around these leaders, to indirectly endorse his political campaign said:

“The Pan-Africanists he invited to Ghana, are they aware that they were coming to support a political campaign?,” said Blakk Rasta. “Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao is married to a Ghanaian. This woman, in an interview said she didn’t even know who Cheddar was at the time they were inviting them over to Ghana. She didn’t know he was a billionaire as she was told. She said she never knew she was coming to support a political ambition”

Adding that “P. L. O. Lumumba also said he wasn’t aware he was coming for a political campaign. Peter Obi said the same thing and Julius Malema did not come at all. Did Cheddar trick them into endorsing his political campaign all in the name of coming for a pan-African convention? Did he lie to them or trick them?” He quizzed.

The government of Ghana under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cancelled the much-awaited public lecture rally dubbed ‘The Convention 2024’ in the 11th-hour.

In a statement signed by H.M Wood, Chief Director at the Jubilee House on behalf of the Chief of staff, cited unforeseen circumstances.

The statement titled: Revocation of permit read.

“We write to invoke immediately permission granted by per our letter No.OP/PH/02 dated 11th November, 2023 which approved your request to use the Black Stars Square for the above event”

“The decision has been necessitated by an unforeseen State Event scheduled to take place at the venue” the statement said.

“Under the circumstances the amount of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis (GHc10, 000.00) paid by your office for the use of the venue will be founded”

“We regret any inconvinience this may cause” part of the read.
