The Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, who also serves as Member of Parliament for Techiman North, and the Minister for Local Government, Religious Affairs and Chieftaincy, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, are scheduled to engage the public next week under the Government Accountability Series.
The disclosure was made by Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, when he addressed the 2026 maiden Government Accountability Series press conference at the Presidency in Accra.
Mr. Kwakye Ofosu stated that the two ministers would, at separate sessions, present comprehensive briefings on activities, policies and programmes undertaken by their respective ministries over the past year. He added that each engagement would include an interactive segment, allowing journalists to pose questions and seek clarifications.
The Government Accountability Series, being organised by the Presidency Communications Bureau, forms part of measures to strengthen transparency, promote openness and deepen public accountability in governance.
According to the Presidential Spokesman, the initiative underscores government’s commitment to keeping citizens informed about sector performance, while creating a platform for direct engagement between the media and key office holders.
