AS Roma are making steady progress in negotiations over personal terms with Italian forward Giacomo Raspadori, as the club steps up efforts to strengthen its attacking options during the winter transfer window.

The Giallorossi already have an agreement in place with Atlético Madrid, reached around two weeks ago, for a loan deal valued at €1.5 million, which includes a buy option clause that could take the total transfer package to between €20 million and €23 million.

With club-to-club terms settled, Roma officials are now focused on finalizing personal conditions with the player’s representatives. Talks are understood to be progressing positively, with optimism growing in the Italian capital that an agreement can be reached in the coming days.

Raspadori, who joined Atlético Madrid earlier in the season, has found opportunities limited and is open to a return to Serie A, where he previously impressed with Napoli and earned recognition for his versatility, work rate, and tactical intelligence across the forward line.

Roma see the 25-year-old as a valuable addition capable of providing both depth and quality in attack as they push for strong domestic and European finishes in the second half of the campaign.

Should personal terms be agreed, the deal would represent a significant step in Roma’s January business, reinforcing the club’s intent to remain competitive while planning for the long term.
