The Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has extended heartfelt support to the family of Dr. Callistus as preparations advance for the funeral of his late mother, Madam Salomey Ama Mahama.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera began her visit at the family residence, where she, alongside the constituency chairman, presented food items, mineral water, assorted drinks, and a bull, donated on behalf of Alhaji Azorka. She offered her condolences and assured the family of her continued support during this difficult time.
The MP later visited Dr. Callistus’s private residence in Salaga, expressing her sympathies once again and encouraging him as he received dignitaries ahead of the funeral scheduled for tomorrow.
On her way to the funeral grounds, Hon. Hajia Zuwera made a brief stop to engage with Youth Employment Agency (YEA) recruits participating in a clean-up exercise along Salaga’s principal streets. She commended their volunteerism and urged them to remain committed to the successful organization of the upcoming ceremony.
At the Salaga Astro Turf, she inspected ongoing preparations for the funeral, noting that arrangements were progressing smoothly in readiness for tomorrow’s event.
The MP also visited the Kiote Nkwanta–Kiote Road, which is currently being rehabilitated through her initiative. She expressed satisfaction with the progress and praised the National DRIP Coordinator, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye, for training machine operators and providing technical support. She also commended the District DRIP Coordinator, Mr. Nafiu Mustapha, and his team for their dedication to the municipality.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera further revealed that she had personally pre-financed the rehabilitation of the Salaga–Kafaba Road, with plans to submit a claim to her share of the MP’s Common Fund. This, she explained, will allow her to channel more resources into additional road projects across the constituency. She also disclosed plans to rehabilitate the Ngua Mallam–Kulpi Road and extend similar interventions to other communities as funding permits.
Later in the afternoon, the MP returned to the family residence to join in receiving the Chief Justice of Ghana, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, who travelled to Salaga to commiserate with the family.
Hon. Hajia Zuwera’s visits not only provided comfort to the bereaved family but also underscored her ongoing commitment to community development and infrastructure improvement in Salaga-South.
