There’s a video online showing the wife and children of late Kumawood actor, King Aboagye Brenya in Kumasi High Court contesting ownership of his properties.
The dispute centers on the late actor’s third wife, Grace Yeboah, formerly a maid, who currently holds key properties, including a school and a house.
One of Brenya’s children accused her of being improperly married to their father and alleged that a forged will transferred the bulk of the late actor’s estate to her.
“Our father is King Aboagye Brenya, who passed on in 2021. After his death, they brought us a forged will claiming he had left his properties to someone else. But after checking, we noticed the signatures on the will are not our father’s. Most of the properties were given to the maid, and not even a single one was allocated to his children. That is why we have been in court for the past four years,” the child said.
Grace Yeboah, however, refuted claims that she was not legally married to King Brenya, asserting they were married for 12 years.
She also noted that the children previously caused her arrest over document forgery allegations, but she was later acquitted and discharged by a district court.
Speaking on the current dispute, Grace Yeboah stated, “If the Kumasi High Court rules in favour of the children, I won’t hesitate to give them the properties; however, until there is a ruling, I am not ready to give out the properties.”
