The Member of Parliament for Okaikwei North, Hon. Theresa Lardi Awuni, has commissioned a newly constructed borehole at Kisseman Masalachi to provide residents with access to clean and safe drinking water.
The initiative, which forms part of the MP’s broader agenda to improve access to potable water across the constituency, is expected to significantly ease the burden on households that have long depended on unreliable water sources.
Speaking at a brief ceremony to hand over the facility, Hon. Awuni disclosed her unwavering commitment to improving the standard of living of her constituents. She explained that access to clean water remains a fundamental human right and a key factor in promoting public health, especially in densely populated communities such as Kisseman.
“This project is a reflection of my continuous efforts to ensure that every household in Okaikwei North enjoys the basic necessities of life. Water is life, and I believe that by providing this borehole, we are not only meeting a basic need but also contributing to the overall well-being and productivity of our people.” She stated
Residents of Kisseman Masalachi expressed deep appreciation to the MP for the intervention, describing the project as timely and impactful, especially during periods of water shortage. They commended Hon. Awuni for her consistent dedication to community development and urged her to continue championing initiatives that directly benefit the people.
