The people of Boana in the Nkoranza north district of the Bono East region have mobilized GHc30,000 for the reshaping of Boana to Yefrie road .

A formal Assembly Member and Presiding Member for the Nkoranza North District Assembly, Hon Micheal Obour, applauded the natives for their massive contributions as he revealed that, each member of the community was levied with an amount where women paid Gh30 and men paid Gh50 natives from the  diaspora also contributed heavily towards the reshaping of of the two kilometers road.

According to him, a contractor has been awarded with the construction of the Boana – Yefrie road but has since left the site with no indications that he will return anytime soon.

“Our roads are in a bad shape, this makes transportation very difficult for us, although the government has awarded the road to a constructor for the reshaping but as we speak, the contractor has left the site”. He said

He explained that, “pregnant women who are to ply the road for health care have been really suffering” hence the need of the community to contribute for the reshaping of their road.

The formal assemblyman ceased the opportunity to appeal to the Nkoranza north district assembly individuals and non governmental organizations to as matter urgency consider the immediate construction of their chip compound which is in a very bad state for the community because the existing one is nothing to write home about.

He urged the leadership of the Nkoranza north district assembly to consider how the community through its own efforts have supported the various developmental projects and construct the chip compound for them.
