
The Bono East Regional Minister, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi, has joined Ghanaians in mourning the passing of the former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, whose sad demise occurred on Thursday.
In a heartfelt message, Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi expressed his deep sorrow and extended his condolences to the Rawlings family, the President of Ghana, H. E. John Dramani Mahama, as well as to the entire nation.
He described the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as a strong, courageous, and visionary woman whose immense contributions to Ghana’s political and social development will never be forgotten.
“She was not only a former First Lady but a trailblazer who stood for women empowerment, good governance, and national development. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations,” the minister stated.
Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi further urged Ghanaians to honor her memory by upholding the values of service, unity, and patriotism she lived for.
Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was widely celebrated for her leadership and advocacy, particularly through the 31st December Women’s Movement, which played a key role in improving the welfare of women and children across Ghana.
