The Member of Parliament for Pru East, Hon. Lord Kwakau Boam, has declared his full support for whoever is appointed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area.
According to him, all three shortlisted candidates are capable of handling the role, and he has no personal preference among them.
Speaking on the matter, Hon. Boam emphasized that the Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) serve as an extension of the government’s vision at the local level. He said he is confident in the capabilities of all the shortlisted candidates to execute the job effectively when given the nod.
“All of them are my favorites. The MMDCEs are an extension of what the MP and the Presiden to do, so once the regional vetting committee has shortlisted three candidates, I believe all three are capable of doing the job, and I have no concerns about the selection.
“Regardless of who is appointed by the President, I will work with them. We will collaborate effectively because all three were actively involved in the campaign.” He said.
The MP further disclosed that all three aspirants played an immense role during the campaign, which ultimately contributed to the NDC’s victory. Therefore, whoever is appointed as the DCE truly deserves the position.
“Sulemana is our Constituency Organizer, Amuzu is the Constituency Secretary, and Constance was also actively engaged. Amuzu served as the Secretary, while Nasiru has been my advisor and counselor since the day I decided to contest the primaries. They all provided immense support during the campaign.
“I have assured all three candidates that I have no issues with any of them, and I fully support all of them. I urge them to accept the outcome in good faith.” He stated.
Hon. Lord Kwakau Boam also called on the people of Pru East to remain patient and trust in the NDC government, assuring them that the President will appoint a candidate who will contribute significantly to the district’s development.
“I will urge the good people of Pru East to be patient and have faith in the NDC government, as the President will appoint someone who can contribute to the development of the district.” He said.
