Nsoatreman FC calls for calm as justice for Nana Pooley progresses

Nsoatreman Football Club has called for calm among the football fraternity, particularly supporters of Asante Kotoko, as investigations continue into the tragic passing of Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Nana Pooley.

The unfortunate incident occurred during a match between Nsoatreman FC and Asante Kotoko on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Nana Amoah Kronmansah II Park in Nsoatre

In an official statement released on Monday, February 24, 2025, Nsoatreman FC expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as “unfortunate and regrettable.” The club extended its condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire Kotoko fraternity.

Management of Nsoatreman FC reassured the public that they have been actively assisting law enforcement agencies in their investigations and remain confident that justice will be served.

The club further appealed to supporters, especially those of Asante Kotoko, to remain calm and allow due process to take its course, trusting the authorities to handle the matter with the urgency and diligence it deserves.

Meanwhile, the funeral rites of Francis Yaw Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley, are scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 6, 2025.

This statement is made following the death of Nana Pooley that occurred during the football match between Nsoatreman FC and Kotoko on Sunday, 2nd February, 2025 at NANA AMOAH KRONMANSAH II PARK, TWUMASIKROM.

On this day, management wish to state that the said death is unfortunate and regrettable. Life is precious and it is condemnable when life like that of Francis Yaw Frimpong (Nana Pooley) is lost in such a manner.

For that reason, management will like to extend their consolatory message to the Kotoko football club and the family of the deceased Nana Pooley for their loss.

It is important to state on record that since the said death, management has been assisting the police in investigating the circumstances of the death and in bringing to justice the person(s) who are accomplice in the death of Nana Pooley.

It is the believe of management that the real culprits will be brought to book and justice served.

Management pray that patience is exercised and tempers calmed as the police continue to do their work to its logical conclusion.
