Concerned Nsawam-Adoagyiri NDC members want MP Annor-Dompreh to resign

Concerned National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency, Eastern Region, have expressed concerns over what they described as misconduct of their Member of Parliament Frank Annor-Dompreh.

According to the NDC group, the incumbent MP’s conduct in Parliament and in the constituency tarnished the good image of the people of Nsawam-Adoagyiri and therefore called for his resignation.

“We want him to resign. None of us want Frank Annor-Dompreh to lead us as a Member of Parliament. How can MP and a Ranking Member for that matter, instruct the disconnection of cables and equipment, including consoles, during a vetting proceeding. This is a total shame to the constituency. We won’t allow him to tarnish our image.” Spokesperson for the Concerned NDC members in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency, Nana Kwame Okyere said this when speaking to the media.

The Concerned National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in the Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituency also raised concerns over Frank Annor-Dompreh’s comment inciting New Patriotic Party (NPP) members to physically attack the NDC members.

Nana Kwame Okyere believes such behavior from a Member of Parliament is uncalled for and called on all the political parties to condemn the act.

“Inciting violence in Parliament and calling on the NPP supporters to attack NDC members is shameful to us. We don’t want him to lead us.” He added.

The group disclosed that the Nsawam-Adoagyiri NDC will challenge the December 7 Parliamentary results in the constituency to allow NDC parliamentary candidate, Amenorpe Philbert Fummey take over.

“We want the NDC Caucus in Parliament to support our parliamentary candidate, Amenorpe Philbert Fummey. We don’t trust the December 7 election results so we will challenge the results in court.”
