God bless you and lift you higher, you started with humility – Daddy Lumba praises Sarkodie

Ghanaian highlife icon, Charles Kwadwo Ofosu widely known as Daddy Lumba has commended Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Michael Owusu Addo, known professionally as Sarkodie for his humility.

The legendary highlife icon also asked for God’s blessings for the rapper for being humble and inspiring others.

According to him, Sarkodie started his music career with humility and he (Lumba) prayed that God will lift him up beyond his expectations.

“In fact, Sark, God bless you, God make you big and show you His Mighty hands. Because you started with humility and I know God will lift you higher beyond your expectations.” Lumba prayed for Sarkodie.

Daddy Lumba heaped praise on Sarkodie on Saturday, February 15th, 2025, at the Grand Arena during “Valentine with Daddy Lumba” show.

Recounting how he met the rapper, the Sika Asem hit maker said he always met the handsome guy at his show in Tema and one day he had a conversation with him.

“Sarkodie, I remember, listening to this carefully today, I saw this young man in Tema. Perhaps many people don’t know, all my shows are done at night so anytime I was going to sing at Tema, I met this handsome guy at my show. So one day I asked him his mission so the following day I was told the guy you had conversation with yesterday has done something on your song so I should go and listen.” Lumba said.

The “Valentine with Daddy Lumba” show brought together musicians such as Ofori Amponsah, KK Fosu, CZar, Kofi Nti, Kofi Kinaata as well as Talented songstresses Abiana and Adina.
