Ms. Justina Nelson, has been appointed by H.E. John Dramani Mahama as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund (MIIF).
Ms. Justina Nelson’s appointment was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 21(2) of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) Act, 2018 (Act 978).
Her appointed was made known to the public in a statement date issued by and signed by the Acting Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
“The President, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 21(2) of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) Act, 2018 (Act 978), appointed Ms. Justina Nelson as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income and Investment Fund.” A portion of the statement reads.
The Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) is a sovereign minerals fund mandated by the Minerals Income Investment Fund Act, 978 (as amended) to maximize the value of dividend and royalties income accruing to the Republic of Ghana in a beneficial, accountable and sustainable manner and to monetize
The statement further disclosed that, the new Acting Chief Executive Officer for the Minerals Income and Investment Fund, “is an accomplished banking professional with over twenty years experience”
She is currently Group Head at Zenith Bank (Ghana) Limited and oversees both the Energy and Commercial Banking sectors.
Ms. Justina Nelson holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Management and Psychology from the University of Ghana.
She also holds a Master of Laws in Corporate and Commercial Law and a Master of Business Administration (Marketing), both from the University of Ghana.
