Parliament of Ghana has announced that, the registration process for Members elected to the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic will commence on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
This announcement was made in a statement released today and signed by the Deputy Coordinator, Dissolution / Inauguration Committee, Camillo Pwamang
According to the release, the registration of the Members of the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana, will start via online registration. The release further disclosed that, elected Members of the House will receive messages via WhatsApp or email to confirm their participation of the registration exercise before physical registration will start on Thursday 2nd January, 2025 and end on 6th January 2025.
The election of Speaker of Parliament will take place on Monday, 6th January, 2024.

PARLIAMENT TO START REGISTRATION OF ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE 9TH PARLIAMENT ON 25/12/2024
The Parliament of Ghana wishes to inform all Members elected to the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic, that registration will commence on Wednesday, 25th December, 2024. The exercise will start with online registration.
Targeted messaged inviting members will be sent to members elect via WhatsApp or emails. Physical registration will start on Thursday 2nd January, 2025 and end on 6th January 2025. Members who may need further clarifications or assistance may contact the officers in charge of the registration exercise on telephone number 055 022 2200 or 0503634466.
Members elect are also to note the following dates and times of the events on the dissolution and inauguration.
1. Election of Speaker and Swearing-in of Speaker-elect and Members-elect 6th Jan. 2025
a. Election of Speaker – Monday, 6th January, 2025 @ 11pm
b. Members are to be seated @9pm
c. Swearing-in of the Speaker-elect and Members-elect @ 12Midnight.
2. Swearing-in of the President-elect and Vice President-elect – 7th January, 2025
a. Swearing-in ceremony – Independence Square, Accra @ 10am
b. Hon Members are to be seated at the Independence Square by 9 a.m.
