The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has called on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to refrain from engaging in blame games following their defeat in the 2024 Presidential elections.

Addressing a heavy crowd at the NPP Constituency Office after a ‘Thank You Walk’ through the principal streets of Techiman which brought together Regional & Constituency Party Executives, Patrons, Council of Elders, NPP supporters and sympathizers, the Legislature urged members of the party  o shift their focus from the past and work towards reorganization and strengthening the party ahead of the next general elections in 2028.

Hon. Martin disclosed that the NDC won the 2024 elections through propaganda and believes they will not be able to meet the expectations of Ghanaians as they govern the nation. He also expressed confidence that the NPP can win the 2028 elections if they remain united, as he believes the NDC will struggle to meet the expectations of Ghanaians during their four years in power.

“I ask that we set aside our differences and unite as a political party. We should be the keepers of our members.

“If we are united, and if we approach the 2028 elections with a united front, we will surely win the elections and return to power because the NDC can’t meet the expectations of Ghanaians.

“I will need the support of all of you so that I can serve the people of Techiman and ensure the development of the constituency.” He said.

He reiterated that his passion and commitment for the People will not change even though the New Patriotic Party lost woefully in the recent 2024 General elections and is now in opposition.

He said, “From 7th December 2024 to date, I know that you have all been praying fervently for me. I understand that some of the information you received was disheartening.

”Eections are govern laws that was why I kept assuring you to remain confident that we had won the Techiman South seat.

”If election results could be manipulated, I want to assure you that this will never happen in Techiman South, because we will always protect your vote.”

Techiman South the only seat won by the NPP out of the eleven (11) in the Bono East Region was amongst the disputed Constituencies where the Electoral Commission could not conclude collation due to attacks by alleged NDC thugs but took the timely intervention of the law Courts for Hon. Korsah the immediate past Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Develop to be officially declared winner in the Parliamentary elections, severed on the Government Transition Team and later sworn-in at Parliament.
