The Constituents of Abore in the Manso Nkwanta Constituency of the Ashanti Region have expressed disappointment in the Nana Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to the constituents,they entrusted the construction of Manso Nkwanta roads to the NPP government, yet the party has failed to provide them with good roads after twenty eight years of voting for the NPP.
Speaking to OTEC news reporter, Sarkodie Samuel, at the Day three of the retail campaign of Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia,the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC),the residents indicated that the inadequate road network is a significant obstacle to the community’s progress and development.
Mr. Osei Kwadwo, a resident, expressed his disappointment at the deterioration of the road network, emphasizing how it retards the growth and development of the community.
Madam Ama Serwaa stressed on how the bumpy and unpaved roads make it challenging for ambulances to reach the community during emergencies, posing a serious danger to residents’ health and safety.
Furthermore,Mr. Yaw Mensah emphasized how the lack of good roads has led to an increase in transportation costs for farmers trying to bring their produce to market.
Yaa Deborah, also a resident, lamented that on the same issue
stating that the member of Parliament( MP) for the area should be voted out since they don’t see any changes in the area.
The residents of Abore are not only frustrated by the current state of the road infrastructure but also concerned about the long-term implications for their community’s prosperity.
They noted that the inadequate road infrastructure has led to struggles in businesses, children face difficulties accessing education, and healthcare services become harder to reach.
As a result, the residents are calling on the government to prioritize road development in Abore to ensure the well-being and growth of the community.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia,the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress NDC, responding to the call, entreated the Constituents to vote for the NDC come December 7 polls to ensure the construction of their roads.
