Techiman Nsuta: Mayor commissions 6 unit classroom block with ancillary facilities

The Techiman South Metropolitan Mayor, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, has commissioned a 6-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities for the Nsuta St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Primary School

The commissioned of the classroom block, is to improve teaching and learning activities in the school and also to enhance the standard of education in the metropolis as the new infrastructure, is designed to provide a conducive learning environment for students, thereby improving their academic performance.

According to the Mayor, the commissioning of the classroom block is part of the NPP led government’s broader vision to uplift the educational standards in the Ghana by providing quality education to all Ghanaian children irrespective of their soci0economic background.

The Nsuta St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Primary School, which serves a large population of students from the surrounding communities, has been in need of additional classroom space and modern facilities for some time. With the new classroom block, the school will be able to accommodate more students and provide them with access to quality education.

Addressing the media, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko explained that, the six (6) unit classroom block which was funded Ghana Education Trust Fund  (GETFund), comes with facilities such as modern classrooms equipped with the latest teaching and learning materials, a library, headteachers office, staff common room, a mechanized boreholes including many others.

He ceased the occasion to urge the Nsuta Traditional Council as well as management of the school to put the facility in good use to ensure it serves the upcoming generation. He also pleaded with the people of Nsuta to vote massively for the Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah K0rsah, to propel the NPP government to continue with the developmental projects in Nsuta.

“This is a GETFund project, it is a six unit classroom block with ancillary facilities. Clearly you can testify that the NPP government is doing extremely well in terms of providing infrastructures for our schools.

“That is why we are pleading with all and sundry to vote massively for Dr, Mahamudu Bawumia as our next President and Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah as our MP and by so doing, we can continue with the good works we are doing in the country.

“I have urged the Nsuta Traditional Council and authorities of the school to ensure that the facilities are put into good use. The management of the facility should be a collective work so that we can maintain the facility for the unborn generation to come.”

The commissioning of the classroom block was attended by various stakeholders, including school officials, parents, teachers, and members of the local community.

Headteacher of the school, Mr. John Kwasi Korankye, on behalf of the people of Nsuta and his staff, promised to take good care of the facility and promised to deliver the best of education to the learners of the school.

“This is a six unit classroom, we have offices, stores, library and a toilet facility, this project is testament enough the government has really supported learners and teachers alike at Nsuta R/C Primary School.

“So I will plead with my staff to ensure that the facility is well managed to serve not only this current crop of learners but future generations to come.

“My staff and I will do everything within our means to provide the best education for our learners in order for the motive behind the construction of this school block to be achieved. It is our hope that graduates from this school will one day be prominent people in the society to help with the development and progress of Techiman.” He said

With this new facility, the Nsuta St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Primary School is better equipped to provide a conducive learning environment for its students, thereby contributing to the overall development of the region.
